RE: Demonetization of TTD Cotton Banknotes

 

Further to notice issued by the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago dated June 1^st 2021 and pursuant to Section 27(1) of the Central Bank Act, Chap. 79:02, we advise the following:

 

1. JMMB Bank will accept banknotes in the denominations of $1, $5, $10, $20 and $50 bearing series dates prior to 2020, up to and including December 28^th 2021.
2. These notes shall continue to be legal tender for cash payment within Trinidad and Tobago until December 31^st 2021.
3. Clients still in possession of said notes after December 28^th 2021, may redeem for face value indefinitely at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

 

Kindly utilize our Bank CSR Services, ATMs and Night Bag facilities for deposits, in order to complete the exchange of the bills before the deadline date.
