Lorraine Kam - Chairman

Lorraine Kam is the Chairman of the Boards of JMMB Bank (T&T) Bank Limited and JMMB Express Finance Limited and has served as an Independent Director of JMMB since 2014. She is a financial services professional with 25 years of progressive experience within the financial services sector. This experience incorporates roles in corporate governance, strategic leadership, enterprise risk management, corporate and investment banking, and business development.
Currently, Lorraine serves as a Non-Executive Director for companies in the financial sector and NGO space. Prior to this, most of her career was spent at Citibank in their Corporate, Commercial and Investment Banking Unit.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Finance from Cass Business School (London, U.K.) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from The University of the West Indies (St. Augustine). Her training included certification by the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario, as well as being an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom.
Hugh Duncan - Group Head Capital Markets

Hugh Duncan has over 20 years' experience in the energy and financial services sectors. He brings a wealth of knowledge, financial management expertise, and valuable experience, having held senior positions at Citibank (Trinidad) from 1989 to 1998. His international postings included Manila, Philippines, where he served for five years as a senior executive member of Citibank's international staff.
He also held the position of Director, Capital Markets at FirstCaribbean International Bank for the Northern Caribbean region and subsequently Managing Director of Intercommercial Bank Limited from 2006 to 2011.
Mr. Duncan holds an MBA from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Montreal's George Williams University.
He sits on the Board of JMMB Bank Limited and serves on their Credit and Risk Committees.
Wayne Sutherland - Director

Wayne Sutherland is the Managing Director of Jamaica Venture Fund Limited, a company that makes venture capital investments. He was appointed to the Board of JMMBTT in 2003 and also served as a Director of Intercommercial Bank Limited, JMMBTT Investments (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited, JMMBTT Securities (T&T) Limited and Intercommercial Trust and Merchant Bank Limited. He is the Chairman of JMMBTT Group Information Systems Committee and also sits on the Nominations and Corporate Governance Committee. A former director of Jamaica's Securities Commission, (now the Financial Services Commission), he is currently chairman of Kencasa Construction & Project Management Limited and the St. Hugh's Preparatory School Board. He sits on several other Boards including Mapco Printers Limited.
Mr. Sutherland holds a Bachelor of Science degree from UWI and an MBA from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
John Tang Nian - Director

A career banker with over 42 years experience, John Tang Nian retired in 2010.
Over the course of his career, he held many senior management positions in various functions at Republic Bank. Prior to his retirement, he was General Manager – Corporate Operations and Process Improvement, a key member of the executive management team with responsibility for the bank’s operational risk management and other key operational/administrative functions. This responsibility also included the group’s AML/CFT Compliance. John Tang Nian also served as General Manager – Corporate Business Division, with overall responsibility for the management of the Bank’s Corporate Credit and Business Division.
As a member of the Group’s Executive Management Team, he had gained valuable skills in Strategic Planning and Enterprise Risk Management. He is also a skilled practitioner in Financial and Credit Analysis and Management Accounting.
He holds a Diploma in Business Management from the University of the West Indies/Institute of Business and over the years has solidified his expertise with significant overseas training, notably the Manchester Business School, UK and the International Banking Summer School in Dublin, Ireland.
Currently Mr. Tang Nian serves as an independent director on the boards of Massy Finance GFC Ltd, JMMB BANK (T&T) LTD, JMMB EXPRESS FINANCE (T&T) LTD and Endeavour Holdings Ltd as well as the Chairman of the boards of The Export Import Bank of Trinidad and Tobago Ltd (EXIMBANK) and The Trinidad and Tobago Tourism Business Development Ltd (TTTBDL).
John is also an avid golf enthusiast on his leisure time.
Catherine Kumar - Director
Catherine Kumar is an Independent Director on the Boards of JMMB Bank (T&T) Limited, JMMB Express Finance Limited, JMMB Investments (Trinidad and Tobago) Limited and JMMB Securities (T&T) Limited. She is the Chairman of the Audit and Compliance Committee.
Catherine has held several senior leadership positions throughout her career such as President & Country Head of RBTT Bank Limited and Inspector of Financial Institutions at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago. She also served as the first female President of the American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago and the Bankers’ Association of Trinidad and Tobago, and she also chaired the Caribbean Group of Banking Supervisors. She has served the country as a director on several State Boards and as a representative on other National committees. In 2009 she was inducted into the Hall of Excellence at her Alma Mater, St. Joseph’s Convent P.O.S, in recognition of her outstanding achievements in business. In 2014 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws (LLD) from the University of the West Indies. In 2015 she received a national award in the category Business for her development of PLOTT- “The medal for the Development of Women -Gold”. In September 2016, she retired from her role as Chief Executive Officer and Secretary to the Board at the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce – a position she took up in January 2010.
Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Management Studies, and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Darren Mohammed - Director

Darren Mohammed is a Senior Manager at Microsoft, responsible for the Corporate & Government business across 33 countries, mainly within the Caribbean. Darren is also the Country Representative for Microsoft in Trinidad and Tobago. As more organizations and governments turn to technology to better Engage and Empower people, Optimize Operations and Transform Products & Services, Darren continues to build partnerships throughout the region with entities who are agents for that transformation.
Darren has a background in Computer Engineering and has been working in the ICT industry for over 26 years. During that time, the most notable tenures have been 14 years at Microsoft where he has been recognized with several service excellence awards, 6 years of entrepreneurial experience, having built a successful technology startup prior to joining Microsoft and 5 years working for a multi-national Oil & Gas company as a technologist building and supporting upstream apps. He uses that wealth of experience to assist in the development of an ecosystem of technology service companies across this complex geography, with the goal of that ecosystem contributing to the regional GDP. Darren also serves as Independent Director on the board of JMMB Bank and JMMB Express Finance in Trinidad & Tobago and on the regional JMMB Group IS Committee.
Vijai Ragoonanan - Director

Vijai Ragoonanan is a Retired Banker with 37 years’ experience as a risk management professional specialising the field credit risk. His career in banking was with three of the leading banks in Trinidad during which time he held positions in Branch Management, Commercial and Corporate Banking and Risk Management. A major part of his career was at Republic Financial Holdings Limited for 25 years where he held senior management positions in the risk management function. The last eight years was as the General Manager, Risk Management responsible for the credit function of the Group and a member of the Executive team. He was a member of the Asset Liability Committee and the Enterprise Risk Committee of the Bank. In 2006 he was seconded for one year to the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington, DC as a Senior Investment Officer with the Global Manufacturing and Services Division. While at IFC he worked successfully with Project Teams on the financing for two investment projects: one in Egypt involving the purchase of a large retail establishment and another in Belarus for an A Class Office building.
Vijai is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, where he majored in Accounting. His undergraduate degree was a B.Sc. in Management Studies and post graduate degree in M.Sc. Accounting. He is a non-practice member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago. He also attended several courses in Risk Management and Credit Risk held by Euromoney. Since retirement in January 2020 Vijai has been providing Financial Consultancy on Real Estate Development projects and Consultancy to CariCRIS, the Caribbean Rating Agency. He joined the Board of JMMB Bank (T&T) Limited and JMMB Express Finance (T&T) Limited effective August 01, 2021.
Anna-Maria Garcia-Brooks - Director

Anna-Maria Garcia-Brooks is a professional with over 36 years’ experience in business and banking. She spent 28 years leading the marketing, corporate communications and human resource functions at a leading commercial banking group in the Caribbean and Africa. Prior to that she was a communications professional with the Massy Group, a leading Caribbean conglomerate.
A certified Changed Management Professional, Anna-Maria holds an MBA from the University of the West Indies and has completed executive education programmes at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from the Stanford Executive Programme at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
She was named one of the University of the West Indies Distinguished Alumni in 2014 and while at the UWI was awarded the Pro Vice Chancellor’s prize for General Proficiency – First Place in the Mass Media and Communication Arts programme. Her contributions to banking, finance and business in Trinidad and Tobago were recognized in 2021 when she was named a Fellow of the Institute of Banking and Finance.
Anna-Maria currently performs the role of Episocpal Delegate for Commissions with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Port of Spain and is the former chair of Catholic Media Services Limited. A founding member of the Nova Committee of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce she has served on the board of Republic Bank (Guyana) Limited and is currently a director of the International Women’s Forum Trinidad and Tobago, chairing it’s communications committee. She is also the current chair of the Love Movement Youth Outreach, a programme that uses music and the performing arts to reach out to, instill positive values in, and improve the lives of young people in challenging situations. Anna-Maria is married and the mother of three young adult sons.
Aliyah Hamel-Smith - Director

Mrs. Aliyah Hamel-Smith nee Jaggassar is an Attorney-at-Law with extensive corporate legal experience in Trinidad & Tobago, having been admitted to practice for over 20 years, inclusive of a 1 year stint in the United Kingdom.
Her career started as a litigation Attorney at M. Hamel-Smith & Co. Thereafter she spent a significant portion of her career at RBC, where she had the privilege of working as part of the legal team on RBTT's amalgamation with RBC. She was then appointed as the Head of RBC Trust in Trinidad, where she acquired expertise in, amongst other things, pension plan administration, personal trusts and estate planning, including Will preparations. She subsequently went on to head up the Financial Planning arm of RBC for the Caribbean Region.
She continued her passion for Employee Benefits, when she then took up the role of CEO of an insurance brokerage and its affiliate administration firm (Global Financial Brokers Limited & Total Benefits Specialists Limited), specializing in pension/annuity, health and life insurance, financial wellness and estate planning.
Mrs. Hamel-Smith currently holds the following directorships:
- National Flour Mills since 2016 – where she is a member of both the Board Tenders Committee and the Procurement Committee,
- Admiral Capital, an investment management firm, since 2018,
- JMMB Bank (T&T) Limited and JMMB Express Finance (T&T) Limited, since November 2021 – where she is a member of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee,
- L.J. Williams Limited since 2022.
She has now formed her own end to end Financial Planning and Estate Administration firm, ExeQtrust Limited, which includes a focus on preparing Wills, administering estates of deceased persons and pension administration.
Rachel Maikhoo

Rachel Maikhoo has been a practicing Attorney for over 12 years. She started her legal career as Freedom Law Chambers a law firm specializing in Personal Injury, Medical Negligence, Civil Litigation, Contract Law, Defamation, Judicial Review and Constitutional Matters. She joined JMMB then Intercommercial Bank in 2011 as Legal Officer and has continued her practice as in house counsel, holding the position on Manager Legal and presently Legal Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary. Rachel served on the Board of IGOVTT as Deputy Chair and Chair of the Tenders and Contracts Committee from 2011 to 2016. Her expertise lies in Corporate, Commercial, Banking, Conveyancing, Employment and Probate.
